Here's the plan AdBot would run for . Live in 24-48h, then optimized every day.

Flat fee. We never take a cut of your ad spend.

AdScale costs $169, $249 or $329 a month on the Shopify App Store. The plan is set by your ad spend: Basic covers up to $1,000 a month, Growth up to $2,000 and Elite up to $3,000. Every plan includes Google Search, Performance Max, Facebook and Instagram ads, AI product images and video, and a 7-day free trial. Your ad spend is billed by Google and Meta on top.

Those figures come from AdScale's own Shopify listing, checked on October 14, 2026. The harder question is what happens above $3,000 a month, and whether the fee still makes sense once your budget grows. If your spend is mostly on Facebook and Instagram and has already passed the top tier, our AdScale alternative page compares the flat-fee route.

Two ecommerce founders comparing monthly software and ad budgets at a table

How much does AdScale cost?

AdScale prices by ad spend band, not by features. All three Shopify plans include the same tools, so the only thing you buy by moving up is room for a larger budget.

PlanMonthly priceAd spend coveredFee at the top of the bandYearly cost
Basic$169Up to $1,000 a monthAbout 17%$2,028
Growth$249Up to $2,000 a monthAbout 12%$2,988
Elite$329Up to $3,000 a monthAbout 11%$3,948

What every plan includes, per the listing: AI ads for Google Search and Performance Max, AI ads for Facebook and Instagram, around-the-clock bid and budget optimization, AI product video and image creation, and agentic creatives worth $20 during the trial and $40 a month after it. The listing also warns that AdScale may bill some external charges separately from your Shopify invoice, so check your card statement as well as the Shopify bill in the first two months.

AdScale pricing above $3,000 of ad spend

The Shopify listing stops at $3,000. AdScale's own pricing page describes the same idea for larger budgets: the fee follows your ad spend tier, and if your spend goes past the tier you are on, you are charged the difference for the higher one. That page blocks automated access, so we could not record its numbers, and you should ask for the tier table in writing before you scale a campaign.

Two data points from reviewers give a sense of the upper end. One Shopify review describes paying about $3,000 a month for a managed arrangement. Another mentions a contract with no performance terms that was hard to leave early. Neither is AdScale's price list, but together they say the cost of an enterprise or managed deal is a different order of magnitude from the $329 Elite plan, and the contract terms matter as much as the fee.

AdScale fee as a share of your ad spend

Spend-tier pricing looks cheap at the bottom of each band and expensive just above a threshold. The table shows what you pay as a percentage of spend at common budgets, using the Shopify plans.

A useful rule from agency pricing: management fees of 10% to 15% of spend are normal for a person running your account. A tool that charges 17% to 34% at small budgets is priced like a service, so judge it against what a freelancer would cost you, not against other software. Our freelance media buyer rates article has the hourly and retainer ranges.

Is AdScale worth the price?

For many stores, yes. AdScale holds a 4.7 rating from 373 Shopify reviews (checked October 14, 2026), with 93% five stars. A store spending $1,000 to $3,000 a month that wants Google Shopping, Performance Max and Meta all handled by one app gets a lot for $169 to $329. Building and maintaining Performance Max campaigns by hand is real work, and AdScale also generates product images and video.

It is a weaker deal in three situations:

  • Your spend sits just above a threshold. At $1,100 a month you pay the Growth price for almost the Basic budget. Plan budget changes around the tier edges.
  • Most of your spend is on Meta and passing $3,000. You are paying for Google tooling you use less, and the Shopify plans no longer cover your budget.
  • You want to see every change. The low reviews repeat complaints about not knowing what the AI did, sales credited to campaigns that did not drive them, and a campaign that launched before approval. If audit trail matters to you, ask AdScale to show you the change history before the trial ends.

AdScale vs AdBot pricing

AdBot is narrower and priced differently. It runs Facebook and Instagram only, and it does not make product video. What it does do is build Meta campaigns from your store, wait for your approval, then pause weak ads and move budget every day inside a hard spend cap, with every edit logged and reversible.

Monthly Meta spendAdScaleAdBot
$1,000$169 (Basic)$297 (Launch)
$3,000$329 (Elite)$297 (Launch)
$6,000Above the Shopify plans$297 (Launch)
$10,000Above the Shopify plans$297 (Launch)
$30,000Above the Shopify plans$697 (Growth)

The honest read: under about $2,000 a month, or if Google Shopping drives your sales, AdScale is the cheaper and broader option. Above $3,000 a month on Meta, AdBot's flat fee covers about three times the budget for less than the Elite plan, and annual billing brings Launch to $148 a month. Every plan and limit is on the AdBot pricing page.

How to keep your AdScale bill predictable

  1. Write down the trial end date. The 7-day trial converts to a paid plan. Billing complaints show up in the one-star reviews of several ad apps, this one included.
  2. Set your Meta and Google budgets inside the tier. If you are on Growth, keep monthly spend under $2,000, or decide in advance to move to Elite.
  3. Approve before launch. Ask how campaign approval works during onboarding and confirm nothing will spend until you say so.
  4. Compare attribution with Shopify orders. Check the revenue the app reports against your Shopify order data for the same week, because double-counted sales make any tool look better than it is.
  5. Feed the AI good creative. Product video from the app is a start, but ads built from real customers usually beat generated ones. If you sell a product people love, collect short video reviews from your customers and test them as ads next to the AI variants.

If you are already past the Shopify tiers and the account has drifted, a Facebook ads audit shows where budget is leaking before you pick the next tool. AdScale pricing questions

Does AdScale have a free trial?

Yes. Every AdScale plan on the Shopify App Store has a 7-day free trial, and the trial includes $20 of agentic creatives. After the trial the plan bills monthly through Shopify, and AdScale may bill some external charges separately.

Is AdScale free?

No. There is no free plan on the Shopify listing. The cheapest option is Basic at $169 a month for up to $1,000 of ad spend, after a 7-day free trial. Ad spend is always paid separately to Google and Meta.

What happens if my ad spend goes over my AdScale tier?

AdScale describes its pricing as based on ad spend, with the difference charged when your spend passes your current tier. In practice, plan to move up a plan when your budget grows, and ask support how the charge is calculated before you raise budgets mid-month.

Does AdScale charge a percentage of ad spend?

Not directly on Shopify. The fee is a fixed monthly price per spend band, $169, $249 or $329. As a share of spend that works out to roughly 11% to 34% depending on where you sit in the band.

What is a cheaper alternative to AdScale for Meta ads?

If your spend is mostly on Facebook and Instagram and above $3,000 a month, AdBot runs the account daily for a flat $297 a month for up to about $10,000 of spend. Below $2,000 a month with Google Shopping in the mix, AdScale's Basic or Growth plan is usually cheaper.
