AdScale Alternative With AdScale Reviews and Pricing for Shopify Stores

AdScale is an AI advertising app for ecommerce stores. On the Shopify App Store it sells three plans, $169, $249 and $329 a month, and each one covers a fixed slice of ad spend: up to $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 a month. Every plan runs Google Search, Performance Max, Facebook and Instagram ads and generates product images and video.

AdBot is the AdScale alternative for US stores whose Meta budget has outgrown those tiers, or who want to see every change the AI makes. It builds Facebook and Instagram campaigns from your store, waits for your approval, then pauses weak ads and moves budget every day inside a hard spend cap, in your own ad account. Launch is $297 a month ($148 billed annually) for up to about $10,000 of monthly ad spend, and every edit lands in a change log you can undo.

What you can order now: New plans run Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram. Google Ads campaigns are not available for new orders right now, and TikTok campaigns are not available to order.

AdScale plans, ad spend limits and inclusions come from the AdScale listing on the Shopify App Store, checked October 14, 2026. The listing notes that AdScale may bill some external charges separately from your Shopify invoice. Fee percentages are the plan price divided by the top of its ad spend band. Prices change, so confirm on each site before you buy.

What it handles

Everything, from research to daily optimization

You set the goal and the budget. AdBot does the work a media buyer would, and reports back in plain language.

  • Facebook and Instagram campaigns built from your store
  • Approval before anything launches or spends
  • Daily pausing of ads that spend without results
  • Budget moved between ad sets toward the lower cost per result
  • A hard daily and monthly spend cap with one-switch pause
  • A change log of every edit, with undo

A day of optimization

Every 24h
  • 1 Reads yesterday's spend, clicks, conversions and cost per result from your Meta ad account.
  • 2 Pauses the ads that spent without bringing anyone to your site.
  • 3 Shifts budget, within your cap, toward the ad sets hitting your target cost.
  • 4 Moves budget inside an ad set to the ad with the better cost per result.
  • 5 Logs every change so you can read it and reverse it.

AdBot never spends past the daily cap you set.

Why Shopify stores look for an AdScale alternative

AdScale has a strong record on Shopify, so most people searching for an alternative are not escaping a bad product. They have hit one of three limits.

The first is the ad spend band. The three Shopify plans cover $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 a month. A store that has found a winning product and wants to spend $5,000 or $8,000 a month on Meta has outgrown every listed tier, and AdScale's own pricing page describes tiers that rise with spend. Read our AdScale pricing breakdown for what the fee looks like at each budget.

The second is visibility. An AI that changes bids and budgets around the clock is only useful if you can see what it changed and why. Several of the low reviews describe owners who could not tell what had been done in their account until the bill or the results arrived.

The third is approval. One recent review describes a campaign that went live during onboarding before the owner approved it. Whether or not that is typical, it is the exact fear that makes a careful owner look elsewhere.

What AdScale reviews say

On the Shopify App Store AdScale holds a 4.7 rating from 373 reviews, checked October 14, 2026. The spread is lopsided: 346 reviews (93%) give five stars, 19 (5%) give one star, and almost nothing sits in between. That pattern usually means most stores are happy and a small group had a bad experience they feel strongly about.

The five-star reviews praise quick setup on Shopify, automated campaign creation across Google and Meta, and support during onboarding. The one-star reviews repeat a handful of themes.

  • Results. Several owners say return on ad spend was no better than what they got managing the ads themselves, and that they were told results could take around 90 days.
  • Billing and refunds. A 2026 review describes spend on a campaign the owner had not approved and a refused refund. Another mentions a fee of about $3,000 a month without clear value.
  • Tracking and feeds. Older reviews describe sales being credited to campaigns that did not drive them, and product feed or Merchant Center access problems.
  • Support and contracts. Some mention slow replies and a contract with no performance terms that was hard to leave early.

How much does AdScale cost?

AdScale costs $169, $249 or $329 a month on the Shopify App Store, depending on how much you spend on ads. Basic covers up to $1,000 of monthly ad spend, Growth up to $2,000 and Elite up to $3,000. Each plan has a 7-day free trial, and your ad spend is billed by Google and Meta on top.

The fee is easier to judge as a share of spend. At the top of each band AdScale costs about 17%, 12% and 11% of what you spend on ads. AdBot Launch is $297 for up to about $10,000 of Meta spend, which is about 10% at $3,000 and about 3% at $10,000. Below $1,000 a month the two cost about the same, so the choice there is about channels and features, not price. See AdBot pricing for every plan.

Which AdScale alternative shows what the AI actually changed?

AdBot does. Every action it takes in your Meta account, a paused ad, a budget moved from one ad set to another, a new ad variant launched, goes into a change log with the time, the reason and the value it replaced. You can undo any line. You can also open Meta Ads Manager at any time, because the campaigns run in your own ad account, not in a shared one.

This matters more than it sounds. An AI buyer you cannot audit asks you to trust the monthly result. One you can read lets you catch a bad decision on Tuesday instead of finding it in the month-end report. If you want an outside view of what your current setup is doing before you switch, a Facebook ads audit lists the waste first.

What is the best AdScale alternative for Shopify in 2026?

The best AdScale alternative depends on why you are leaving.

  • Your Meta budget is above $3,000 a month and still growing: AdBot covers up to about $10,000 on Launch and about $50,000 on Growth at a flat fee. The AI ads for Shopify page covers the store setup.
  • You need Google Shopping and Performance Max run for you on a small budget: AdScale covers Google and Meta on every plan, and AdBot runs Meta only, so staying may be the honest answer.
  • You mostly need more product images and video: a creative generator is the better swap. Compare them on our AdCreative.ai alternative and Quickads alternative pages.
  • You want to see the whole field side by side: the best AI ad tools comparison sorts each tool by what it does in the account.

What AdBot does in your Facebook and Instagram account

You give AdBot your store URL and a budget. It reads your products and pages, writes several versions of the ad copy, proposes a campaign build with daily budgets per ad set, and waits for your approval. The campaigns go live in your own Meta ad account and use your own pixel.

After launch the routine work is automatic. Every day AdBot reads recent results, pauses ads that spent without sending visits or sales, and moves budget toward the ad sets that cost less per result, without changing your total. Facebook ads for ecommerce covers the campaign structure for product stores, and the Facebook ads management tool page compares this with running Ads Manager by hand.

Who should stay on AdScale

Stay on AdScale if you spend under $3,000 a month, want Google Shopping, Performance Max and Meta handled by one app, and value AI product video. For that store AdScale covers more channels than AdBot at a similar price, and its review record on Shopify is mostly positive.

Move when your Meta spend has passed the top tier, when you cannot tell what the AI changed last week, or when the fee has started to look large next to the results. If you do switch, keep the creatives you made. They belong to you and can run in the same ad account next to the variants AdBot tests.
