Albert AI Alternative: Albert AI Reviews and an Autonomous AI Media Buyer With a Published Price

Albert (albert.ai, owned by Zoomd since 2022) is an autonomous AI platform that plugs into existing Google, Meta, YouTube, Bing and programmatic accounts and adjusts bids, budgets and audiences around the clock. It does not publish a price: you request an estimate, and the smallest budget band on that form is $100,000 to $500,000 a year in advertising. Albert also says plainly that it does not set your strategy or make your creative.

AdBot is the alternative for a US business that wants the autonomous part without the enterprise sales process. It builds Google Search, Performance Max, Shopping and Meta campaigns from your website, writes the ads, asks for approval before anything spends, and works the account every day inside a hard daily and monthly cap. Plans are $297, $697 and $1,497 a month, listed on the pricing page.

What you get

A full media buyer, working for you 24/7

A price you can see before you talk to anyone

Albert quotes each client privately and asks for your yearly ad budget first. AdBot lists every plan on its pricing page: $297 for one platform, $697 for Google and Meta together up to about $50,000 a month in spend, and $1,497 for multiple accounts and brands.

It writes the ads, not just the bids

Albert optimizes the campaigns and creative you give it and leaves strategy and creative to your team. AdBot reads your website, picks keywords and audiences, writes the ads and structures the account, then waits for your approval before launching.

Autonomy with a ceiling

Every connected account gets a hard daily and monthly spend limit, one button pauses everything, and revoking access in Google Ads or Meta ends it at once. The campaigns stay in ad accounts you own if you cancel.

What it handles

Everything, from research to daily optimization

You set the goal and the budget. AdBot does the work a media buyer would, and reports back in plain language.

  • Google Search, Performance Max, Shopping and Meta campaigns built from your website
  • Ads written for you, not only optimized
  • Every new build waits for your approval
  • Hard daily and monthly spend cap
  • Published flat plans, no percentage of ad spend
  • Campaigns stay in ad accounts you own

A day of optimization

Every 24h
  • 1 Reads yesterday's spend, clicks, conversions and cost per result from both platforms.
  • 2 Adds the search terms and placements that spent without converting to your exclusions.
  • 3 Shifts budget, within your cap, toward the ad groups hitting your target cost.
  • 4 Rotates in the next creative variant where an ad has fatigued.
  • 5 Logs every change so you can read it and reverse it.

AdBot never spends past the daily cap you set.

What is Albert AI, and who is it built for?

Albert is a cloud AI platform that connects to your existing ad accounts and operates them. Its FAQ describes it as autonomous: it takes action itself rather than handing you recommendations, adjusting bids by audience, schedule and device, shifting budget between channels, and testing audiences and ad variations continuously. Albert.ai was acquired by the ad tech company Zoomd Technologies in 2022.

It is built for large consumer brands. Albert says it is more compatible with B2C brands because they have the scale and transactional pace to feed the learning, its interface is English only, and every client gets a dedicated customer success team for implementation and account management. Its public case studies include the retailer Crabtree & Evelyn, a CPG breakfast brand, an insurer and an investment platform.

How much does Albert AI cost?

Albert AI does not publish a price. Its pricing page asks you to request an estimate, and the form asks for your yearly advertising budget with four bands: $100k to $500k, $500k to $2.5M, $2.5M to $10M, and over $10M. There is no band below $100,000 a year, which is roughly $8,300 a month in ad spend, so Albert is priced as enterprise software.

Some directories quote figures like "$500 a month for basic". We could not find any source for those numbers on Albert's own site, so treat them with care. Our Albert AI pricing breakdown explains what the custom model means for your total cost, and what you would pay for the same daily work on a flat-fee plan.

Albert AI reviews: what users and the record show

Public reviews of Albert are thin for a platform that has been around since the mid-2010s. The G2 and Capterra listings carry very few reviews, the most-cited Reddit discussion in r/PPC is several years old, and the company blog on albert.ai was last updated in June 2025. That does not mean the product is weak. It does mean a buyer has little independent evidence to go on before a sales call.

What the record does support: Albert won early industry recognition (an SIIA award for campaign management in 2017), its best-known story is the lingerie brand Cosabella handing its paid search and social to Albert, and users who praise it tend to describe the same thing, an end to hand-tuning bids across many campaigns. The recurring caveats are the ones Albert states itself: you still need a strategy, you still need creative, and it learns best with a steady flow of conversions.

  • Strengths people cite: always-on bid and budget changes across channels, cross-channel budget shifting, a dedicated success team.
  • Limits people cite: no public pricing, enterprise-only entry point, creative and strategy stay with you, English-only interface, less suited to B2B.

What are the best alternatives to Albert AI?

The best Albert AI alternative depends on which half of Albert you actually need. If you want the software to make the changes for you, look at autonomous media buyers such as AdBot. If you have a PPC specialist and want them faster, look at optimization tools such as Optmyzr or Opteo. If you want people as well, a paid media agency is the like-for-like swap.

Our wider comparison of AI ad tools covers the full field, including Meta-first automation like Madgicx and rules engines such as Revealbot (now Birch).

  • AdBot: autonomous AI media buyer for Google and Meta, builds and writes the campaigns, published flat plans from $297 a month.
  • Optmyzr: PPC optimization suite for specialists, priced by spend tier from about $209 a month on annual billing.
  • Opteo: Google Ads recommendations you approve, $129 to $499 a month by accounts and spend.
  • Madgicx: Meta-first automation and reporting, $45 to $329 a month by spend band.
  • A paid media agency: strategy, creative and a team, usually a retainer plus a share of spend.

Albert AI vs AdBot: the real differences

Both products make changes on their own instead of producing a to-do list. The differences are who they are sold to, what they touch and how much you know before you buy.

  • Entry point: Albert starts at a $100,000-a-year ad budget band and a sales conversation. AdBot starts at $297 a month and about $500 a month in spend.
  • Channels: Albert covers more of them, including Bing, YouTube and programmatic display. AdBot runs Google (Search, Performance Max, Shopping) and Meta, with TikTok added on the Scale plan. If Microsoft Ads, YouTube or programmatic matter to you, Albert wins on reach.
  • Creative: Albert optimizes creative you supply. AdBot writes the ads and builds the campaigns from your website.
  • People: Albert includes a dedicated success team. AdBot has no account manager on Launch and Growth; the Scale plan adds dedicated success and Slack.
  • Control: Albert works inside guardrails you set. AdBot puts every new build in an approvals queue and enforces a hard daily and monthly cap it cannot cross.

Is Albert AI worth it?

Albert can be worth it for a large consumer brand spending well into six figures a year across Google, Meta, YouTube, Bing and programmatic, with an in-house team to set strategy and a steady supply of creative. At that scale, automated cross-channel budget shifting can pay for a custom contract.

It is usually not worth it for a business spending $2,000 to $40,000 a month on Google and Meta with nobody running the account. That buyer needs the campaigns built and the ads written as much as the bids tuned, and needs to know the cost before a sales call. That is the job AdBot is built for, and the AI media buying page explains how it runs day to day.

Which Albert AI alternative is best for a mid-size business?

For a US business spending roughly $3,000 to $50,000 a month on Google and Meta, the best Albert AI alternative is one with published pricing, campaign building included, and a spend cap you control. AdBot Growth covers both channels for $697 a month up to about $50,000 in spend, and never charges a percentage of your budget.

If you are coming from an agency instead, compare the numbers on our fixed-fee PPC management page, and if you want to size the budget first, use the advertising budget calculator.

Switching from Albert AI to AdBot

Albert runs inside your own Google and Meta accounts, so there is nothing to migrate: the accounts, history and conversion tracking stay yours. The clean way to switch is one owner at a time, because two systems moving the same bids and budgets will undo each other.

  • Give notice under your Albert contract and agree an end date for its access.
  • Remove Albert's access in Google Ads and Meta Business Manager on that date.
  • Connect the same accounts to AdBot and set your daily and monthly cap.
  • Review the campaigns AdBot proposes in the approvals queue, keep what works, approve the rest.
  • Watch the first two weeks of spend against the cap and your cost per conversion.

Good questions

Questions about Albert AI

Albert AI does not publish a price. You request a custom estimate, and the lowest budget band on its form is $100,000 to $500,000 a year in advertising. AdBot publishes its plans: $297, $697 and $1,497 a month, with no percentage of ad spend.
Yes. Albert is still offered as albert.ai under Zoomd Technologies, which acquired it in 2022, with a live pricing and estimate page. Its public blog was last updated in June 2025, so check the current product scope on a call before you commit.
No. Albert's own FAQ says it does not define your strategy or develop your creatives; it optimizes the campaigns and creative your team provides. AdBot writes the ads and builds the campaigns from your website, then waits for your approval.
Albert supports Google search and programmatic (through Google Marketing Platform), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Bing. AdBot supports Google (Search, Performance Max and Shopping) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), plus TikTok on the Scale plan, so Albert covers more channels.
Albert says it is more compatible with B2C brands, because consumer brands have the scale and conversion volume to feed its learning. B2B advertisers with long sales cycles and few conversions are usually better served by a tool or agency built around lead quality.
AdBot is a cheaper autonomous alternative for Google and Meta: $297 a month for one platform, $697 for both, up to about $50,000 in monthly spend. Optmyzr and Opteo are cheaper too, but they are tools a PPC specialist runs, not autonomous buyers.
